We love dogs at Valleybrook! Your furry member of the family is very welcome

Dog friendly holidays

Valleybrook is a unique holiday experience, peaceful, luxurious and totally dog friendly. With around 6 acres of back garden for your dog to run around in; including a stream, woods and heath land, we can offer a holiday treat for the four-legged members of your family as well.

Well-behaved dogs are always welcome at Valleybrook and all our properties offer private gated gardens for your pets to enjoy, (with our villas having large gated sundeck as well) plus an off lead exercise paddock for more strenuous fun.

We understand that fretting about your beloved pet staying in kennels can dampen your holiday mood, so we're happy for you to bring your dogs with you, provided they are at least 12 months old.  We ask that guests don't go out and leave dogs alone in their accommodation if they are likely to bark or chew on things.

There is a charge per dog of £3 per day or £20 for a week or longer

Hector is the resident dog at Valleybrook.

Dogs Friendly Beaches

The majority of beaches accept dogs, a significant number exclude them during the summer months and a few very popular beaches exclude them all year. We provide full details of the beach restrictions in our guide book in each accommodation. Below is a small selection of the many dog-friendly beaches near Valleybrook.

Lansallos Bay – 2 miles

A beautiful small enclosed bay with a sand and shingle beach with a stream running down to the sea. Reached by a 0.5-mile walk from the National Trust car park just above the church. The beach is not well known so doesn’t get too crowded.

Lantic Bay – 2.5 miles

The best-kept secret of the area. This large sandy beach with little coves beyond makes you feel like your in the Mediterranean. There is a bit of a climb down to the beach from the car parks, where the toilets are situated, but once you get down to the sea, this excellent beach makes it well worth it.

Talland Bay – 3 miles

The bay consists of two little shingle beaches with some sand at low tide and is popular for swimming in the sea. An excellent rock pooling location with a shop/café and parking just behind the beach. Dogs to be kept on a leash.

Par Sands – 5.25 miles

Located 3 miles west of the Bodinnick Ferry. This is a wide sandy beach popular with families. Due to shallow seas for some distance, there is a huge expanse of sand at low tide. There is a stream, with a little café and pub nearby. A large car park is situated just behind the beach.
